The day 14 rule
Last updated: 2 November 2026
1. The rule
If, on day 14, the product is not in production with the scope set out in writing and approved by both parties on day 0, the 50% balance is not payable and DN3 shall complete the work at its own expense.
2. Exclusions
The rule applies to delays attributable to DN3. It does not apply where changes to scope are requested during the sprint, client approvals or responses are received after the 24-hour period allowed for each approval, or third-party services outside DN3's control are disrupted, including artificial intelligence service providers, cloud platforms and network infrastructure. In these cases, the 50% balance remains payable in accordance with the contract terms.
3. Scope and approvals
The scope is fixed in writing on day 0. The client provides three approvals: the scope on day 0, the specification on day 2 and the release on day 13. Each approval requires a response within 24 hours. Requests made after day 0 shall constitute a new sprint.
4. Payments
SPRINT 14 is payable 50% at the start and 50% on release, at the publicly listed prices fixed on day 0.
5. Contract
This page summarises the guarantee. In the event of any discrepancy, the contract signed on day 0 shall prevail.
